Spring, summer and fall are great for most projects, whereas winter is typically for planning and designing.
Some disturbance is normal during landscaping but these areas will be repaired as part of project completion with either new sod or seed.

If installed correctly with proper base prep and drainage, movement should be minimal. Ottawa winters are tough — quality installation matters more than material choice.
Spring and early summer fill up fast. Booking early (late winter / early spring) gives you better scheduling options, time for design and approvals and less stress overall.
Ottawa’s freeze-thaw cycles and heavy spring runoff make drainage critical. Poor drainage can cause patio or paver movement, water near foundations and ice buildup in winter.
